Thanks to we finally have result with the same CPU in the same Desktop PC with attached to the motherboard Thunderbolt 3 port eGPU ( AKiTiO Node with GTX 980Ti 6GB Hybrid) and the results shows the same close to ~20% percent performance drop with External Display for Thunderbolt 3 (32Gbps)!

In all benchmarks we can see that, if we play games with FULL HD 1920 x 1080 Resolution ( 1080p) on External Display the Thunderbolt Number is not a big deal, BUT if we use the laptop Internal Display - the best Thunderbolt we have, the less performance drop we will get and also if you have better video card you will have more performance drop because - better FPS will make more bandwidth, if you use higher resolution than 1080p on External Display you will have less performance drop because of lower FPS: THUNDERBOLT # This enables Geekbench 5 to include more ambitious benchmark tests with larger data sets and longer running times. This is the question that many users wants to know: How much performance drop of my Video Card i will have if i put it in the eGPU with Thunderbolt 1, Thunderbolt 2 or Thunderbolt 3? I will give you the answer in this thread! Geekbench 5 does not include any of the compromises required to run on 32-bit systems. Geekbench 5 is 64-bit only, dropping support for 32-bit processors and operating systems.Support for Dark Mode on iOS 13 will be available later this year. Geekbench 5 includes a refreshed results interface with full support for Dark Mode on macOS 10.14.These include computer vision tasks such as Stereo Matching, and augmented reality tasks such as Feature Matching. The Compute Benchmark also includes new benchmark tests that model algorithms that are GPU accelerated in modern applications.Vulkan Compute Benchmarks are available on Android, Windows, and Linux. Vulkan is the next-generation cross-platform graphics and compute API. The most exciting change is that the Compute Benchmark now supports Vulkan, along with CUDA, Metal, and OpenCL.Geekbench 5 includes several improvements to the GPU Compute Benchmark. With the addition of different threading models, Geekbench 5 better captures the performance of different multi-threaded applications on personal computing devices. Finally, the Geekbench 5 CPU Benchmark includes new modes of multi-threaded benchmarks, allowing threads to work co-operatively on one problem rather than separately on different problems.Geekbench 5 also increases the memory footprint of existing workloads to more accurately account for the effect memory performance has on CPU performance. These tests use cutting-edge technologies, including machine learning, augmented reality, and computational photography. The Geekbench 5 CPU Benchmark includes new benchmark tests that model the challenges your system faces when running the latest applications.Fix an issue that caused Geekbench to report memory speeds in MHz rather than MT/s.Fix an issue that caused Geekbench to misreport CPU cluster core counts on Android.Upload your results to the Geekbench Browser to share them with others, or to let the world know how fast (or slow) your devices can go! You can track all your results in one place by creating an account, and find them easily from any of your devices. Geekbench 5 supports Android, iOS, macOS, Windows, and Linux. Designed from the ground-up for cross-platform comparisons, Geekbench 5 allows you to compare system performance across devices, operating systems, and processor architectures. New to Geekbench 5 is support for Vulkan, the next-generation cross-platform graphics and compute API.Ĭompare apples and oranges. Test your GPU’s power with support for the OpenCL, CUDA, and Metal APIs. Test your system's potential for gaming, image processing, or video editing with the Compute Benchmark. Geekbench 5’s CPU benchmark measures performance in new application areas including Augmented Reality and Machine Learning, so you’ll know how close your system is to the cutting-edge. Geekbench 5 measures your processor’s single-core and multi-core power, for everything from checking your email to taking a picture to playing music, or all of it at once. How will your mobile device or desktop computer perform when push comes to crunch? How will it compare to the newest devices on the market? Find out today with Geekbench 5.
